As Facebook leaped into the metaverse and became Meta, I demonstrated how their innovative technology is positively impacting the world.
Are We There Yet?
When the Meta brand launched, we set out to educate people about what the metaverse was and its benefits with a branded content series Are We There Yet?. A virtual road trip with Kiki Palmer and partners. We created assets to get people involved in the metaverse conversation. I created an immersive art direction that would transport the audience straight into an imagination of the metaverse.
The assets included an IG filter. Unlike most mobile AR experiences, this filter was fully immersive simulating the experience of a VR headset. The filter also served up conversation starters from the branded content episodes, and if you flip the camera you can take a selfie of yourself sitting in the Meta car.
Community Voices
I concepted, art directed and was hugely hands on with the production of social content that shined a light on amazing people and communities pushing the limits of Meta technology to make a real impact. This included artist Matthew Burrows’s Artist Support Pledge, that turned Instagram into an art gallery. Also Dr Jack Pootle’s Oxford Medical Simulation, teaching healthcare profesonals real-life experiences but without any of the risks.
